Friendly Faces, Competitive Spirit and a Laugh
Carpet Bowls is a fun, indoor version of lawn bowls played on a carpet mat, making it perfect for village halls and community centres. Players take turns rolling weighted bowls toward a small white target ball called the "jack," aiming to get as close as possible. It’s an easy-to-learn, friendly game. It encourages gentle competition, laughter, and good company amongst friends and fellow villagers.
Players team up in pairs taking it in turns to get as close to the jack as possible; or knock your competitors bowls away from the jack! But your bowl must stay on the carpet.
All skill levels are welcome, whether you are an experienced player or just a novice. All equipment provided.
The Carpet Bowls Group is one of the longest established groups and is very popular.
