About the Village Hall’s Regular Groups
St Margarets Village Hall is a lively centre of activity. It is used most days by groups that bring people together for indoor sports, games, well-being exercises and social occasions. It exists for the benefit of villagers, offering a welcoming space where common interests are shared.
Currently, six regular groups meet in the Village Hall: Bridge, Table Tennis, Carpet Bowls, Luncheon Club, Yoga Classes, and the Belper Young Farmers. Most of these groups meet weekly, with the Luncheon Club meeting monthly. Each group has its own organiser and contact person. With the exception of carpet bowls, which is so popular that it is presently at full capacity, all the groups will welcome new members.
Simply click on the images to find out more about each group, who to contact and when the group meets.
Although the hall is busy, there is still capacity for more regular groups. New ideas are encouraged and welcome; whether it is keep-fit, talks or lectures, entertainments, business meetings or your good idea. The hall provides a flexible space that can adapt to many needs, from energetic indoor sports to quiet gatherings.
By joining an existing group or starting a new one, you’ll be helping to strengthen village life and ensure the hall continues to thrive as a hub for everyone. Come and discover what’s happening—you may find a very enjoyable pastime and a wider circle of friends waiting for you.
